We took the trip Lee has always dreamed of. We went to New Zealand and watched The British and Ireland Lions Rugby team play The New Zealand All Blacks. The Lions is an all star team that gathers the best players and plays a southern hemisphere team every four years. He’s watched it since he was small. It was incredible to see how excited he was. I’m Welsh so I have a good foundation of rugby knowledge. I loved it too.
Don’t get me wrong, I have ALWAYS wanted to go to New Zealand so it was incredibly exciting. We drove (and by ‘we’ , I mean Lee) around the North island in a camper van …but stayed in lots of hotels too 🙂
We had a fantastic time and made some videos along the way:
We went to Hobbiton. I feel it is almost criminal to go to New Zealand and not go to the rolling hills of The Shire. We are massive nerds and we loved every bit of it. It was expensive (about $79 each) so maybe decide how much you love the books/films before you go. It was beautiful there any felt like the Welsh hills of the UK.
Peter Jackson, we apologies for our rendition of your scenes.
Oh , by the way ….we went to New Zealand. More videos to follow. 🙂
We’ve been trying lately to get out and about as much as possible. The travel bug has bitten us .
This weekend we decided we needed our ‘they’re so cute and fluffy’ fix. So we decided on Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
We saw so many pretty colours and animals (and I squeezed in a few weekend coffees…of course). Even though we have been in Australia for almost 2 years, I don’t think I’ll ever get sick of cute koalas, kangaroo’s and wombats.
The day was totally inspiring and had me itching to draw and edit.
This is still very much in the ‘I’m trying to learn so please be patient’ stage of editing and filming….and come to think of it, drawing too.
Hopefully you enjoy seeing these little cute animals as much as we did 🙂
So as the astute among you may have noticed, we are already finished with our trip. We are in lovely Australia. I still have a few posts about our trip to come, but I recently finished editing this little video together and couldn’t wait to share it.
So here is just a few of the best parts of our trip:
Today is my last day here in my Korean school and a few months ago they asked me to make a small video showing life in the school and Korea in general. They gave me a little prize for making it, which was very sweet so I thought it might be quite fitting to share it on here.
This is a little video of our home made Baileys. We are gonna stick some peanut butter in it next time and blend it up. It isn’t fancy and it isn’t strict but it’s just what we do at Christmas. Enjoy folks and if you want a more detailed recipe then please send me a message ^^
This is our entry into the Taiwan video contest ‘Anytime Taiwan’
We happened to see an advert for this contest when we were about to enter Taipei 101 and since I love making little videos of our trips anyway it seemed like the perfect opportunity.
If you get a spare minute have a looksie and head to THIS SITE to vote for your favourite. You don’t have to vote for our one (which is ‘A vacation made in Taiwan’ ) but if you did we would be very happy bunnies.
